The Red Bluff Round-Up Association is proud to team up with Tough Enough to Wear Pink.
Over the past thirteen years, with help of the community, we have raised over $475,000. One hundred percent of the funds have stayed within the community to help fight against breast cancer. The Tough Enough to Wear Pink funds have provided mammograms, physician care, transportation, chemo treatments, and follow-up care by the RN Navigator for the breast cancer patients of Tehama County. Without the generous contribution, many men and women may not have received timely, safe care.
We participate in various fundraisers throughout the year, including a Women and Wine social, a Tough Enough to Wear Pink luncheon during rodeo week, and this year, the Not Cho' Grandma's Bingo was in honor of our Director, Jolene Kemen, who created the partnership between the Round-Up and Tough Enough to Wear Pink, and all the proceed's from this year's event went to the fund. Along with these events, we held a raffle for a pink Traeger BBQ and all proceeds went to the fund as well.
This year, we auctioned off a Calgary Stampede package during our Sunday, Tough Enough to Wear Pink performance. This package included a trip to the Calgary Stampede, (4) tickets to the evening show, rodeo, round trip airfare, and lodging for 3 nights. Also included in this package was a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the rodeo arena, premium dining, suite areas, chuckwagon barns, and get to meet the drivers and look at their horses.
We would like to thank Geveden Industrial for their generous donation, to win the Calgary Package!
Each year, we dedicate our Sunday performance as Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day.
